“Do you like him?”
“Of course I do! Do you see all the times we spend together?”
“I know! But do you…like like him?”
“….I don’t know. You tell me.” – Gilbert laughed, but there’s no humor in his eyes.
“Ludwig, Ludwig, let’s play! I got a new foolball! Let’s kick it around!”
Ludwig blushed when Feliciano pounded on him. He smelled of flower and felt so soft. Ludwig’s heart was thumping faster than normal.
“I like Feliciano, it feels nice to be with him… Is this what brother feels with Matthew too?”
“If you guys don’t plan to do anything, then leave each other the hell alone.” - Lovino said to him one gloomy day.
“What’re you talking about?” – Gilbert knew for sure what Lovino was talking about. He was angry that Lovino dared to stick his nose into this.
“You and Matthew. Just stop it.”
“You are stepping over the line, Lovi, even if you are our friend.”
“It’s because I’m your fucking friend that I’m saying this! Fuck! How long do you think we can all stay in the same place? You’re among the first ones to leave next year! To a college, in a whole different city! Do you guys plan to leave everything unresolved?”
Gilbert remained silent.
“I’m walking home with him starting from today. Take my umbrella, it will piss rain this afternoon.”
“Just go after him. Ask him to take you in after you enroll in his college. He will definitely say yes, I’ll bet.” – Alfred laughed louder than he should have. He’s with Matthew today.
“It’s not…simple as that, you know it.” – Matthew answered.
“I’ll stay with mom and dad. Marry me a pretty lady, have a lil’ brat, we’ll be a cute family! They won’t notice you’re gone, I swear!”
“Don’t be ridiculous.”
And then they saw Gilbert, with Antonio and Francis, standing not far ahead. Gilbert was talking with Antonio, while Francis upon noticing he and Matthew was making hand jestures madly, telling them to go another route. Alfred quickly grabbed Matthew’s shoulder and dragged him to the nearest right turn. Matthew’s eyes still stuck on Gilbert. It made Alfred felt like their situation was really messed up.
“I haven’t made any progress, have I?” – Matthew smiled dryly.
“It shouldn’t be, Alfred. Me and Gilbert. Not everyone in society is fine with it. There are mom and dad…And his family too. I won’t be selfish and stay with him until the day we are forced to part ways.”
“Okay. Okay. I understood.”
Alfred looked at Matthew, and almost huffed out in frustration. Matthew looked like he was about to cry by his own words.
AU: About confused hearts and tough decisions.
I made a new thing! I know that this is a cliché plot, but I you gotta love angsty high school boys right? Though I wish I had talent to write the whole story…
Details: Gilbert, Francis and Antonio are seniors in high school, meaning they will graduate and go to college in one year. Matthew, Alfred and Lovino are juniors (They’re one year younger than the BTT). Ludwig and Feliciano are elementary students (because they’re cute that way).
I really want to explore more on this AU…
